Spectator Information 2005

Welcome to the Roger Albert Clark Rally 2005 and in particular welcome to this page which sets out details of our spectator stages for the event.

On Sunday 20^th November the event will be visiting historic Bramham Park situated just off the A1 near Leeds. Famous for it’s
3-day horse trial event in June every year and more recently for hosting the Leeds Festival.

In the late 1970s and early 1980s it was a favourite venue for the RAC Rally so it is with great pleasure that DeLacy Motor Club as organisers of the Roger Albert Clark Rally make their
re-acquaintance with the Lane-Fox family. As this venue was frequently used by the organising club for our International Rally of the same era, it is fitting that as a tribute to those events of the 70s and 80s that we revisit and share the spectacle with you.

The first car is due at Bramham Park at 10:00 on Sunday 20^th November for special stage 3 of the 2005 running of the
Roger Albert Clark Rally. You will have the opportunity to see the cars of yesteryear running through this classic stage twice as special stage 4 will also be run here.

Spectator parking is available into the park via Terry Lug gate with the entrance being clearly signposted from the A1 [Northbound and Southbound] and the A64. Fees for parking will be £10 per car.

Be aware that the police will be enforcing no-waiting restrictions on and near to the A64.

Bramham is located just off the A1, 5 miles south of Wetherby, 15 miles west of York and 10 miles East of Leeds. Exit the A1 at the Bramham/Thorner junction and follow the event R.A.C Signs.

     Croft Circuit

On the afternoon of Sunday 20^th November the event travels north,   to the home of motorsport in the North East of England at Croft, close to Darlington.

The Roger Albert Clark Rally is pleased to announce that once again, we are visiting this motor racing circuit, for special stages 5 and 6.

Those of us who were privileged to have been there for the last stage last year, will find it hard to forget the sight of Blomqvist and Mikkola at full “chat”, sideways and often on the edge, entertaining the crowds who filled the grandstand and lined the circuit.

We know that once again we will be able to see such antics. The thought of a Lancia Stratos on the edge, fills us with excitement, how about you?

If this is what you want from your rallying then come and see us at Croft from 12.15pm on Sunday 20^th November.

The rally will then be travelling north-west to the Borders, Scotland and Kielder stages, via the service halt at Carlisle airport at 4.30pm

The rally will be revisiting Croft again on Tuesday 22^nd November, the setting for the last two stages of the event, before it makes its way back to Sheffield for the finish.

Directions to Croft

Travelling South by Road

Take junction 58 off the A1(M) signed Darlington. Follow this route through Darlington, then follow the A167 towards Northallerton. Croft Circuit is signposted approximately 2 miles south of Croft on Tees.

Travelling North by Road.

Take junction 57 off the A1(M) to Darlington. At the second roundabout take the 5th exit - signed Northallerton A167. Continue on this route as above

Don't forget you can also come and see us at Sheffield Don Valley Stadium on Saturday, on Sunday morning for the restart and at 6pm on Tuesday 22^nd November for the finish back at Sheffield .
