Welcome!
W e are still
over nine months away
from the historic rallying event of 2012, the Roger Albert Clark Rally 2012,
so it's a little early yet for you to start thinking about applying for
media accreditation. However, if you followed us online in 2011
and think you should report on the event in the print, broadcast or
online media in 2012 you might want to start considering your options
over the next few months before online applications open.
The last couple of years have
seen a significant increase in web traffic on our own event website; on
the event
Facebook
site and on the event
Twitter blog and this traffic is creating more interest
in the rally than ever before.
Spectator
interest on all the internet channels was way up in 2011 and so was
interest from the press and media. Therefore we expect competition
for accreditation to be fierce in 2012 and your application will need to
show how you can help us reach new audiences for our event.
Although we do not yet have a published route for 2012 it's safe to say
that we will be starting in Yorkshire, finishing once again in Carlisle
and be visiting Northumberland, Scotland and Cumbria on the way with a
number of new stage locations planned.
Further information for media representatives will be posted here as it becomes available.
