Media Accreditation
Welcome!
Although we are still six months away
from the historic rallying event of the
year, the Roger Albert Clark Rally 2011, if you intend to apply for media
accreditation, you might want to start thinking about how and when you
will be covering the event. Why not take a look at the new
event guide as a starting point and
then download the media accreditation form from the link below?
The last couple of years have
seen a significant increase in web traffic on our own event website; on
the event
Facebook
site and on the event
Twitter blog and this traffic is creating more interest
in the rally than ever before.
Entries in 2010 were significantly up on the previous year, spectator
interest on all the internet channels was way up and so was
interest from the press and media. Could I therefore ask please that you get
your accreditation application forms in as early as possible this year.
This year the Rally will be based in
Helmsley with the dramatic backdrop of
Duncombe House
as our start venue and
opening spectator stage on Friday 2nd December and we will have our
now-traditional finish in Carlisle City Centre on Monday 5th December. Further
route details have been
announced (see News page
here) and
Rally Manager,
Colin Heppenstall has worked to increase
the amount of competitive miles for the 2011 event. We hope you like the
route which he has outlined.
The event starts
at Duncombe House with scrutineering and signing-on for
competitors talking
place on the Friday late morning and afternoon of the rally.
This is followed by a special stage in the grounds of the house and
another in nearby Dalby forest before returning to Duncombe House for another
run through the stage in the grounds. This makes Friday a day not to miss.
Media signing-on
will be at Duncombe House on Friday 2nd December from 1.00pm
onwards. Tabards will again be available for the customary £50
(€60) deposit.
Further information for media representatives will be posted here as it becomes available.
