Welcome to our sponsors
...

For the Roger Albert Clark Rally 2010 the organisers are pleased to be working with a number of commercial partners and stage sponsors.

Colin Heppenstall, Clerk of the Course of the event and the overall Rally Manager, told this news page that, he was once again delighted to welcome a number of our sponsor “partners” from previous years and that also he was proud to welcome on board TrailerLift as an additional partner for this year.

He said,

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank our commercial partners and our stage sponsors for all their generosity and support for the Roger Albert Clark Rally 2010. I hope that they will gain valuable exposure from our event as we achieve greater media coverage. All our partners in the past have been pleased with the experience of being involved with this event and I hope that this may long continue.

In particular I am always happy to welcome back Kall Kwik Bradford to their sponsorship of the Kall Kwik Rally held in the Yorkshire stages. This continues a long and happy partnership over a long number of years with De-Lacy motor Club. For our stage sponsors I want to thank them all for their assistance in making this event the spectacle it obviously is.

As always, I am looking forward to the event with excitement as and look forward to meeting all the sponsors throughout the event I only hope that the weather is kind to us once again”

Kall Kwik Bradford

For over 10 years now De Lacy Motor Club has been proud to work with the team at Kall Kwik Bradford. For many years they were involved in sponsoring the Kall Kwik Forest Stages, traditionally run on the old Mintex rally dates in February. However with the pressures of date clashes with championship events the rally fell from the motorsport calendar in 2004. Therefore it is special for the organisers to have them working with us again to sponsor the National B event part of the Roger Albert Clark Rally which runs in the Yorkshire Forests.  Additionally they will sponsor the Dalby stage on Friday evening.  We hope to enjoy their company and that of their  customers out on the event in Dalby. They are responsible for all our printing for the Roger Albert Clark Rally often with very short deadlines. We thank them for all their help and hope that long may it continue.

Kick Energy

For those of you who have followed the Roger Albert Clark Rally since it began in 2004 [What so long ago? It seems like yesterday] Then you will be aware that the “Global Brands” business, headed by Steve Perez, has been an invaluable supporter of the event. In 2010, once again, their “Kick Energy” drink will be being used as the brand sponsor for our first spectator stage at the Pickering Showground. This brand is the major sponsor of other forms of Motor Sport and is involved with the Stobart Kick M-Sport Ford World Rally Team and the Vent Axia VK Honda World Super bike Team. Kick Energy is designed to give you a boost of energy when you need it most! With revitalising properties, Kick Energy has a light and refreshing taste, without leaving an aftertaste. Kick Energy is ideal served straight from the can or as a mixer. Kick Energy is a non-alcoholic energy drink containing caffeine and taurine. Ours thanks go to Global Brands for their continuing support.

ARD

ARD are one another of our longstanding partners, both with DeLacy Motor Club and by supplying vehicles for the event. They are an independent 4x4 supplier and have a long history in the motor industry. More of which can be discovered by visiting their home page via the link. The Managing Director of the company, Russell Dykes and his wife Leonie, have been with us since the very first year and in 2010 will once again be involved with the safety aspect of the event. They will drive the Spectator Car for the duration of the Roger Albert Clark Rally, and we thank Russ once again for his help and hard work on the event.

Carlisle City Council

The welcome extended by the City Council in Carlisle has been second to none. They have been supportive and helpful to the event since is inception and have gone out of their way to make us feel welcome. This has culminated in the Rally visiting the City Centre for a ceremonial finish. You will see that all the official’s vehicles carry recognition of the assistance given to us. Thank you Carlisle for all your help.

Dunlop

Dunlop are with us again in 2010 and will have a big presence as always in the service areas they are sponsoring along the route. Dunlop has been a big supporter of this rally since 2004 and the organisers are extremely grateful to them as suppliers of tyres to the event and for their continued sponsorship and partnership. You may have seen the Dunlop Café in the past, but at this time I cannot tell you whether this amazing facility will be making an appearance in 2010. Our continued thanks go to Dunlop Tyres in the form of Mr Tyres. Thanks guys and thanks for coming back.

YIGA

2010 will be the fourth year that YIGA, Yorkshire Independent Grocers Association will be involved with the Rally, sponsoring a stage in the Yorkshire Forests. This organisation is a voluntary association of independent retailers who have combined to represent and assist a large number of other independent shopkeepers. They are committed to the support of our rural shops and as such are members of the Rural Shops Alliance. This is a particularly important area in these days of dwindling rural communities. They joined us in 2007 to gain publicity and promote their role.  In 2010 they will join with us again by sponsoring Langdale on Saturday 27th November.  We are pleased to be involved in this partnership.

Lookers Ford

Since the beginning of this event in 2004 we have been extremely lucky to have had use of Ford Ranger vehicles for official vehicles; however in 2008, due to the financial downturn this was not available. But Graham James, Assistant Rally Manager, managed to secure the partnership of the event with Lookers of Sheffield who provided vehicles for use. This partnership will continue again in 2010 and the organisers are grateful for their continued support and assistance.  Lookers Ford will sponsor the Hamsterley stage on Saturday 27th November.

Renault

In 2008 as the recession bit, the logistics of putting together a fleet of management vehicles became a worry for the organisers. However Renault stepped up to the mark and supplied us with a number of their excellent vehicles.  In 2008 Renault sponsored the stages at Oliver’s Mount; and in 2009, not only did they sponsor the same excellent spectator stages, but also loaned us batch of vehicles to use. This year Renault will once again be supporting the event with the loan of vehicles and sponsoring the Olivers Mount stage in Scarborough on Saturday 27th November.
Thank you so much Renault, glad of your help.

Airshelta
We were pleased to have the support of Airshelta again in 2009 following the successful outing of the Airshelta start arch at Temple Newsam in 2008. In 2009 we we unveiled the new-look, multi-legged arch at the Pickering showground stage.  Established over 20 years ago, the Aireshelta name has now become synonymous with quality inflatable shelters. They are a leading supplier of inflatable shelter solutions both in the UK and Abroad.
Airshelta
will sponsor the Twiglees stage on Sunday 28th November.
