Steve and Tony Graham first came to our attention when my brother Malcolm and I were working as course closers on the first ever running of the Roger Albert Clark Rally in 2004. Steve and Tony, still in their formative years (!) in rallying ran towards the end of the field and we got to see a lot of them as we closed controls and stages behind the last car on the road. In recent times they have become a fixture in the Roger Albert in their iconic Lancia Fulvia. Here is their story in their own words...

Jock Simpson was chatting to Paul Adams at Castle Combe on the Saturday prior to his untimely departure and they discussed the idea of Jock producing a light hearted article about five 'geriatrics' with a total age somewhere in excess of 300 years (!) heading off to watch the Roger Albert - a bit like an automotive version of ‘Last of The Summer Wine’ ! Unfortunately Paul never got to work on this with Jock, but we decided you might to read how these 'old timers' got on...
In 2008 we were lucky enough to have two overseas crew attempt the Roger Albert Clark Rally. Of those, the Belgian crew of Sefan Stouff and Joris Erard published their account of their experiences in their home country online at www.historicrally.be and in the Belgian historic rally magazine 'HISTOnews'. Here, with apologies to Joris if my translation is not accurate to his original text, is what they had to say about the Roger Albert...
Simon Clarke has sent us this personal account of following last year's Roger Albert Clark Rally . In common with may of the enthusiasts we meet around the event, Simon left his home in Cambridge and headed north to Leeds to see the start of the event in 2008. Simon signed on as a recognised photographer for the event and will be doing so again this year. Read on to see how he spent his rally.
